Sacred Heart Higher Secondary School (SHHSS) is the realization of the dream of a society. 7 decades back, during the time when poverty and ailments seemed to be the hurdles to move on in life, certain visionaries realized the greatness of education and their indefatigable effort resulted in the establishment of this temple of learning.
SHHSS was established as an elementary school in 1948. It was upgraded as HS in the year 1962. Higher Secondary Course was started under the unaided stream in 2005 and aided course was sanctioned in 2010.
The school is situated at a place named Erood, a hamlet of absolute tranquility and splendid landscape, around 2 kms distant from Payyavoor in Kannur district, Kerala. Around 700 students learn here from class 5 to 10. There are 9 divisions in UP and 12 in HS sections. Sacred Heart Aided LP School, which is situated in the same campus has its own administration. The school extends in a large area of around 9 acres.
